I knew next to nothing about it all, and picked VPN Unlimited because the graphics looked good in the Mac Store. Being a neophyte, that was at the time as good a reason as any.
I admit I tried some other VPN offerings and they may or may not have been working but I didn’t know because the interfaces didn’t show much. Finally I found myself determined to stay with VPN Unlimited.
I had a few problems at first, mainly due to my inexperience, but I kept at it and got it working by reading the instructions and re-reading until ultimately I understood them. One step at a time. I’ve since been very happy with VPN Unlimited’s updates, with which the program works better and better, and I’ve upgraded to a Lifetime subscription.

Agamemnerd Pretty Good - A Few Lingering (annoying) buigs I purchased a lifetime/3-device license to VPN - it is great for public WiFi networks (especially Hotels that try and proxy your email server's SSL certificate - what is up with that?). My only complaint (minor) is that the VPN profile gets inserted into the Network Control Panel, and the 'Connect On Demand' setting is.CONSTANTLY. turned back on. When I am at home or on a spotty connection, I often find the network glitching out as the VPN connection tries over and over to establish a connection. Quitting VPN Unlimited itself will not fix the issue; the setting is cloned into Apple's native VPN client which often gets stuck trying (and failing) to connect - essentially killing WiFi.
I know enough to get in there and fix the settings - I imagine most non-technical users will be fored to either reboot or only use VPN unlimited - which often times is a no-go (IE: most work environments block outbound VPN - you'll think your wifi is dead). Concerned VPN User Who runs VPNUnlimited? Who knows Not good. The VPN works fine. What is totally unacceptable is that KeepSolid discloses nothing about who actually runs this service. Who started the company, who paid for it, what country are they from? Why are there no names, no phone number and no verifiable business address? Are the prices cheap because they’re stealing our data?
Who's to say a government isn’t involved with this VPN service, look at Kaspersky and they were far more transparent. How does anyone know what logs are actually stored or not stored? Despite several attempts I get no information but an unverifiable address in the Bronx, New York. Google Maps cant even verify this address. I looked up the DNS for KeepSolid and VpnUnlimited and it all leads to no verifiable owner. Whats the puprpose of this secrecy?
